This note summarises the results of an old census of a night-roost of Corvidae in the Duivenvoordse-Veenzijdse Polder, between Den Haag and Leiden, Province Zuid-Holland, on 2 February 1974. It focuses on the number of Hooded Crows Conus cornix (629-644 individuals), after Jackdaw C. monedula (>3500 individuals) the most abundant corvid using the roost By the end of the 20" century, Hooded Crow has completely disappeared as a winter visitor from the region, and is only occasionally observed during migrationHooded Crow Corvus cornix = Corvus corne cornix
