LEBRET T (1981) White-eyed Pachard Aythya nyroca insect hunting. LIMOSA 54 (2): 65-65.

On a fish pond near Kopacevo (Yugoslavia) active hunting of insects by White-eyed Pochards was observed 22 October 1980. These insects were spotted by the ducks when resting on the water surface. They were "stalked" and caught by a dashing forward move. The ducks were lying deep in the water with head feathers flattened.
