Grey Wagtail Motacilla cinerea Two small night rootst of Grey Wagtails were found along 20 km of the small river the Vecht in the middle of the Netherlands in the winter of 1984/1985 (tab. 1). The birds slept in low twigs above water. During daytime the birds were found along the water of the Vecht and nearby canal as well as near farms at some distances. After the onset of a spell of cold weather in January the birds disappeared.
