A capture of a Melodious Warbler Hippolais polyglotta on 2 September 1979 in Zuidelijk Flevoland is reported. In the same year two other records of this species were made: a capture on 8 July, Avenhorn (NH) and a singing bird in the period 12 June-12 July, Vlagtwedde (Gr). Two earlier records have been published but after a critical examination of the evidence available these observations are considered doubtful. Melodious Warbler Hippolais polyglotta
