PERDECK AC (1964) Annual Report of the Vogeltrekstation for 1963. LIMOSA 37 (3): 211-220.

The orientation abilities of robins and starlings were tested in the Kramer-cage. Observations in the standard direction of the Scandinavian chaffinch were continued in the German Bight area. The southerly direction of Norwegian chaffinches was found both in Heligoland (fig. 1) and Scharhorn. Quite different was the direction near Rottumeroog (West Frisian island) and near Norden (East Frisian region), viz. W.-WSW. Under the Dutch ringing schema nearly 90.000 birds were ringed and 4600 recoveries obtained.
