A small breeding colony of the Night-Heron has been found near Wageningen, Province of Gelderland, Netherlands, in June 1958. It consisted of three nests. One of the six breeding birds was in juvenile plumage. It raised two young-ones succesfully. Besides the breeding birds a seventh, unpaired. bird in sub-adult plumage has often been seen in the colony Night Heron Nycticorax nycticorax
