MEININGER PL, VAN SWELM, ND (1994) Barnacle Geese as breeding birds in the Delta area, SW-Netherlands. LIMOSA 67 (1): 1-5.

Since 1988 an increasing number of Barnacle Geese Branta leucopsis have bred in various parts of the Delta area of the SW-Netherlands. In 1988-93 the breeding of respectively 3, 4, 13, 15,20 and 28 pairs was confirmed (table 1). Breeding Barnacle Geese in the SW-Netherlands concern birds originating from captivity and injured birds (due to shooting).
