REMEEUS A (1995) Short contributions: Remarkable behaviour of juvenile Goldfinch Carduelis carduelis. LIMOSA 68 (3): 120-121.
European Goldfinch Carduelis carduelis In August 1993 I had the pleasure of being host, for about five minutes, of a recently fledged Goldfinch. The bird sat on my shoulder and finger, begging vigorously. Eventually it landed on my head and stayed there, even while I was continuing my walk. After about 20 m the bird flew back to its original site and definitely lost its interest in me. Perhaps it was an escaped aviary bird.
