LINCKENS H (1994) Short contributions: Montagu. LIMOSA 67 (1): 34-34.

Montagu's Harrier Circus pygargus Eurasian Curlew Numenius arquata On April 27, 1993, a female Montagu's Harrier was found foraging over rough grassland at Twenthe Airport, province of Overijssel. Suddenly the bird disappeared in the rough and simultaneously a Curlew flew off. Seconds later, the harrier flew away with an egg in her bill. Fifty meters from the Curlew's nest the Montagu's Harrier landed. During the next ten minutes, the bird picked up and then dropped the egg at least ten times, apparently in order to break the egg, but this was unsuccessful.
