Common Buzzard Buteo buteo Neuvel & Winters (1987) reported on a Buzzard eating an eel. A record on 6 December 1987 gives a suggestion how a Buzzard can obtain such a fish. A Grey Heron Ardea cinerea was seen with an eel in the bill being chased by a Buzzard. It could not be observed if this attempt ended successfully.
