(1987) News: Skulls of gulls and skuas. LIMOSA 60 (2): 88-88.

1984 we started an extensive biometric research on skulls of gulls and skuas. this are a number of objectives: (i) describe characteristics of determination, (2) describe the relationship between gender and skull and beak sizes and (3) describe field attributes. Afford all of 27 species in the Western Palaearctic region exist, a tried to examine at least 80 skulls. end 1986, a total of 500 skulls measured. In 1988 / 89 we hope to complete the survey and the results to publish.
