Iceland Gull Larus glaucoides On 6 December 1983 an Iceland Gull was discovered in Amsterdam, which had two short primaries (P7, P8) in the left wing (fig. 1). Three weeks later the situation had not changed. It is suggested that the anomaly has been caused by an accident while the bird was still a downy young. The bird was the third record of the species for Amsterdam and one of the Iceland Gulls recorded in the Netherlands that winter
