Eurasian Hobby Falco subbuteo On 1 Augustus 1981 I observed near Numansdorp (Zuid-Holland) a pair of Hobbies Falco subbuteo; both birds successively swooped on a Barn Swallow Hirundo rustica. Four swoops were executed in total without success. No reference on joint hunting of Hobbies could be found in the literature.
