KIST J & TEKKE MJ (1978) Memoriam Mr. J.H. Klatte. LIMOSA 51 (1): 79-80.

On November 4 .1977 died quite suddenly at the age of 73 Mr.. Johann Heinrich Klatte. Three operations were briefly naelkaar no avail. Hans Klatte was a loyal friend, who to the last active in the birding is engaged. Even in the spring of 1977 he was part of ' a bird trip to Israel and he also deedaan everything, even though he eldest of the company. The Club Tour in September of the same years took him to Cap Gris-Nez and October of that year he had made for a birding tour to Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon. In daily life he held the high office of Secretary General Ministry of Social Affairs and Health and was on that under support of numerous national and international awards. In 1951 he joined the Dutch Ornithological Associations in 1952 he joined the club of Dutch ornithologist. From 1970 to and 1976 he was a highly respected Treasurer of the Dutch Ornithological Union and editor of Limosa from 1971 to in 1976. He was an active member of the Ring andthe Meijendel Research Station Meijendel. As the first Secretary of the Association for Protection of Birds The Hague and surroundings, he served from 1971 to 1975 and Finally he was Chairman of deStichting Nature and Youth (The Youth Nature Guardians) from 1955 to 1976.
