White-tailed Lapwing Vanellus leucurus A White-tailed Plover Chettusia leucura was observed from July 9th-12th 1975 in a wet valley in the dunes of the island of Texel. The bird was photographed. Some remarks are made on some characteristic identification marks in connection with illustrations in some books.
