Western Black-eared Wheatear Oenanthe hispanica On 3rd and 5th May 1972 an adult male of the eastern race of the Black-eared Wheatear Oenanthe h. melanoleuca has been observed in the Westland Dunes, south of The Hague, in the province of Zuid-Holland. This is the first authenticated record of this subspecies in The Netherlands
