White-tailed Eagle Haliaeetus albicilla Greater White-fronted Goose Anser albifrons On 28 November 1970 at Lacul Zmeica on the coast of the Black Sea in Roumania a juvenile White Tailed Eagle in first year's plumage was observed hunting a White Fronted Goose. The White Tailed Eagle tried to seize the goose 38 times, however, without success. Every time just before the eagle tried to catch her, the goose dived. After 38 attempts the White Tailed Eagle stopped and flew off.
