Common Sandpiper Actitis hypoleucos = Tringa hypoleucos A breeding case of the Common Sandpiper has been established near the river IJssel and a description is given of some of the nuptial display. After an incubation-time of at least 3 weeks, the clutch has been destroyed by overflowing because of the high water level of the river. This is the sixth breeding case in the Netherlands.
