Food of migrating and wintering Bean Geese in Hungary has been studied. Table 1 shows banding results. Table 2-4 shows the analysis of stomach contents during the fall, winter and spring season. The Bean Geese feeds mainly on wheat and com. Only during exceptional cold winters with huge amounts of snow tnese geese leaf the wintering areas in West Hungary. Because of new hunting regulations (season closes at January 1) nowadays only a very limited number of gees.e are shot during spring migration. Anser fabalis Taiga Bean Goose
