MARRA N, MARRA JM & MARRA JR N (1970) The Siberian Sharp-tailed Sandpiper new for the Netherlands. LIMOSA 43 (3): 132-135.

Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Calidris acuminata During the period from 1st to 26th November 1969, a specimen of the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper (Calidris acuminata) was seen in the new polder Southern Flevoland. The specimen had the right foot and wing damaged. This is the first observation of this species in the Netherlands, and as far as we know for the European Continent, too.
