Eurasian Dotterel Charadrius morinellus = Eudromias morinellus In 1964 three - possibly four - nests of the Dotterel were found in OosteIijk Flevoland, one of the new polders in the former Zuyderzee. The nests lay in fields of flax (see fig. I), only one in a field of peas (see fig. 2). Furthermore one adult with at least two young-ones was seen in an other part of this new polder. Unfortunately at least two nests were abandoned by agricultural activities
