VOOUS KH (1962) Faunistic data from the egg collection Neijssel. LIMOSA 35 (3): 270-270.

Eurasian Siskin Carduelis spinus Aquatic Warbler Acrocephalus paludicola Dunlin Calidris alpina = Calidris alpina schinzii Baillon's Crake Porzana pusilla Tufted Duck Aythya fuligula Northern Pintail Anas acuta After the death of the N.O.D. member, Mr. C. Neijssel, on May 8, 1960, has the Zoological Museum of the University of Amsterdam, the egg collection Mr Neijssel acquired possession. This extremely neat nicely decorated and carefully labeled collection of around 1240 clutches of 287 species of origin almost exclusively palaearctische (including many from the Netherlands, Spain and Scandinavia, but also for example from Czechoslovakia, France, Iceland, Greenland and Canada), includes more spawns a number of which the entry for the knowledge of the Dutch avifauna is important. The relevant data are already included in the Avifauna of the Netherlands (Ardea 50, 1962: 1-103), but breeding of some special cases below more extensively reported. Mr. Neijssel was secretary of the now defunct o?logische section of the Dutch Ornithological Union and Honorary employee of the Zoological Museum.
