SLUITERS JE (1962) Short announcements: New record of Tringa stagnatilis in the Netherlands. LIMOSA 35 (1): 166-166.

Marsh Sandpiper Tringa stagnatilis On September 19th, 1961 a specimen of the Marsh Sandpiper was seen near Amsterdam. It was in company with a flock of about 30 Spotted Redshanks. Before 1960 only six cases (one find and five sight-records) and one non-confirmed observation - that means a trustworthy one man's sight-record (see Ardea 50: 7) - were known for the Netherlands.
