Keller V.E. (1991) The effect of disturbance from roads on the distribution of feeding sites of geese (Anser brachyrhynchus, A anser), wintering in north-east Scotland. ARDEA 79 (2): 229-231
Pink-footed and Greylag Geese wintering in north-east Scotland tended to avoid the proximity of roads when feeding on agricultural land. Flocks were not found within 100 m from the nearest road and fields with centres closer than 100 m from a road were not visited. Flight distances ranged from 100 to 250 m.
